                 What we do

  • Main Focus is on Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Do Kyokai style kata (forms)

  • Body Conditioning

  • Hojo Undo (Strength training using traditional Okinawan methods)

  • Small classes - (Between 1-6 people at one time) Personalised correction

  • Pre-arranged Kumite (Drills)

  • Bunkai (Study of kata and applications)

 What we DON'T do

  • Sports karate - If you have dreams of competing in the Olympics and only winning medals, this style is not for you. There may be competition opportunities but is not our priority.

  • Sparring day in day out- If you prefer pure fighting, Muay Thai, Kyokushin Karate or MMA may be more suitable.

  • Mainland Japanese Goju Ryu / Goju Kai style karate.

  • Have large classes with one teacher counting continuously and doing constant drills.

  • Hold a million gradings every year or offer in-between ranks (tips, stripes etc).

* NOTE: There is nothing wrong with the above, however simply not what we do or cover.
