A few days ago in my blog titled 'Conversations about Karate', I mentioned a little about our Kobudo instructor and our great friend - Gaja Sensei. Little did I know that the latest Masters of Okinawan Karate series would be about him. Without Gaja Sensei, we would have never been introduced to the Minei Karate Dojo in Okinawa, something we are and will forever be thankful for. Little did I know that Sensei Allan was judged on his good-hearted nature back in the day which resulted in the personal introduction to the Minei dojo....and the rest is history. Who knows where we would have ended up if we were a bunch of arrogant pricks.
The life long lessons instilled in us as both a person and budoka by both Gaja Sensei and Minei dojo is a priceless intangible, and something we will forever embrace and pass on to our own students.
