How fortunate are we to have our dojos at home.

With Covid19 resulting in countless restrictions and lockdown rules around the world, many dojos and karate practitioners are yet to get back into the swing of things. Yes, one can train at home in the living room or in front of the camera on Zoom if the motivation remains, but the feeling of sweating it out with friends and in a group environment may still remain. We are however very fortunate that our dojos are part of our homes, hence, according to the lifted restrictions since last week, can have up to 20 visitors per household (not that we have that many students in the first place :)

I've seen more than enough posts on social media about people itching to get back into the dojo. I understand it's not a group training solution, but why not allocate a training only space, make your own personal dojo per se? Size doesn't matter as discussed in a blog last year (See link below) https://ogkkaus.wixsite.com/karate/post/does-size-really-matter-dojo-size-that-is

You could simply convert a spare bedroom, shed, or any other area into your own private little dojo. With a little bit of creativity, anything is possible. Nevertheless, let's all hope this Covid19 madness ends soon. Keep on training everyone!

What used to be the spare bedroom turned dojo.....(turned bar 10 years later :)
