A few hours ago I received the sad news from a Minei Dojo member in Okinawa that one of our senior instructors had unfortunately passed away. This came as a huge shock to all of us, especially when 2 other senior instructors of ours had already passed away within the past two years. We seem to take for granted that the people we care about most will be in our presence forever, however when tragedy strikes, reality sets in. Nothing lasts forever. As I type, I am still in disbelief that such a wonderful, generous man, friend, and mentor has left us. On the other hand, I am grateful to say that we have had the opportunity to learn not just karate, but countless life skills from such a humble person. Be kind and cherish the people you care about, share your knowledge and positivity to others, nothing in life is permanent. Rest in peace Okuma Sensei. We will always remember you - Craig, Terry, and Allan.
